Reliable information available to Peacefmonline.com reveals that the much publicized Mavado live in Ghana show scheduled to take place at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Saturday October 1, 2011 has been cancelled.

According to a close source they have done everything possible to make the show happen as planned but at this point they have no other choice than to call off the show and reschedule it to a later date.

Peacefmonline.com investigations into the matter reveals that the show, put together by Ghanaian Afro-Raggae star Samini, is being called off because there is a crucial friendly match at the same venue between the two topmost teams in Ghana, the porcupine warriors, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.

According Peacefmonline.com sources the organizers will address an emergency press conference tomorrow Friday 30, 2011 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, where they will outline all the information as the reason for calling off the event few days to the show.

The Mavado Live In Ghana concert is organized by Fantacy Entertainment in Collaboration with Samini Music and sponsored by MTN.

Other artiste who were billed to perform on the show included; surprise acts from Nigeria, great show stoppers from Ghana like VIP, Buk Bak, Okomfour Kwaadee, Iwan, 4X4, Stonebowy, Bandana among others.

We has received reports of an ongoing wild gambling over dancehall artistes Samini and Jamaican Mavado. With barely five days to the October 1 Mavado show, reports say dancehall music lovers are divided on which of the two stars would outdo the other, with a majority of them betting on Samini.

Prospects of his music career therefore hang in the balance until the concert takes place. Fantasy Entertainment, organizers of the event, has confirmed to NEWS-ONE that it had received similar reports, with some even threatening to deal with Samini and stop being his fans if he failed to live up to expectation during the show.

Madavo is arguably the biggest dancehall artiste currently, after he took the position from Vybz Kartel when the latter started sinking following unconfirmed reports that he was bleaching. Samini however is more accepted in Ghana and is reputed as the king of dancehall music in the country.

The two artistes clashing on one stage on the same night has therefore raised a lot of anxiety and many have reportedly bet huge amounts of money on who would get the loudest audience response on the night.
Fantasy Entertainment told NEWS-ONE that Samini was very aware of the development and had promised to put up a splendid performance.

“This is what I like doing best; exhibiting the real Samini when a big platform presents itself. And playing alongside the undoubted current king of his genre, I can only say you’ve not seen anything until you see my surprise act on October 1,” Samini noted.
Billed to be held at the Accra Sports Stadium, the organizers say they are stopping at nothing to ensure that they deliver a successful concert.

Mavado
Mavado, the organizers have said, will share the stage with an impressive select core of local and foreign artistes including Nigerian crooner Fidei Ranks, VIP, Buk Bak and others who will ensure back-to-back performances all night.

Fantasy Entertainment is noted for the highly impressive Rick Ross concert that shook the foundations of the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre months ago, and has promised a re-enactment of the flair and quality that came with their first event.
Born David Constantine Brooks, Mavado, also known as The Real McKoy, Gully God, Gangsta Fi Life and Stulla, is famed all over the world for his exceptional mastery of the genre. His style is heavily influenced by the likes of Bounty Killer and 2Pac.

His debut single, ‘Real McKoy’ on the Anger Management riddim in 2004, provided him instant success. He further established himself with the follow-up record ‘Weh Dem a Do’, on the Red Bull & Guinness riddim.

After a string of hits in 2005 and 2006, Mavado released the album ‘Gangsta for Life: The Symphony of David Brooks’ July 10, 2007 on VP Records. ‘Whe Dem A Do’ and ‘Dying’, two singles from the album, were featured heavily on R&B/hip-hop radio in New York.
In 2008, Mavado was given the prestigious UK MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act.

In April 2010, he starred as a gangster in Drake’s song ‘Find Your Love’. Mavado formed his own label, Mansion Records, in 2011, debuting with the single ‘Delilah’. This year he recorded with UK hip-hop artist Chipmunk on the track ‘Every Gyal’. The track is receiving rave reviews across key charts all over the world. The Accra Sports Stadium will definitely come alive on Saturday.

Ghana being a part of commonwealth has given its citizen the opportunity to be part of the growing cultural exchange market. United Kingdom provides the avenue for young Ghanaian Entertainers the opportunity to exhibit their talent mostly during summer through multiple programmes to promote the whole commonwealth exchange agenda.

One of the groups spearheading the above agenda is the UK based Akwaaba UK who over the years have been instrumental in organizing beauty pageants, Independence and republic shows, private parties, charity events and more.

Dr Cryme is Ghana’s current most sought for celebrity and won same during the recently held High School Honours in Accra Ghana. The E-Jam Records artist had one of the highest RBT downloads via his “Kill Me Shy” single from his “Finally Finally” album to be launched in Ghana in November 4th as part of the album festival.

Ghanaian nationals in the UK were most impressed with Akwaaba UK’s choice to invite Dr Cryme to this year’s Miss Ghana UK which was held at Troxy London in UK, though he should have been there for shows earlier that week. Dzifa Gray is the founder, Producer and director of the Titi Gray Talk Show on BEN TV, (Sky Channel 184), airing every Saturday at 7PM. The first pilot was in March 2009, Ghana’s 52nd Independence.

The programme has been very instrumental in awarding entertainers around the world for innovation through bringing up new genres and also a general support to the society through adequate preservation of the African culture.

One of the main reasons that might have boosted up Dr Cryme’s win was his immense support to the society through socially active projects like donations to hospitals and general education of peers. His “Twipop” genre is currently global and has been very instrumental in creating a new music hub in Tema. Tema forms a conurbation with Accra and is a planned city in the center of the world. Dr Cryme a.k.a “Tema Eminem” a.k.a. “The General” couldn’t mince his words but had to show appreciated to everyone for making a dream come through.

He added that he’s received two plaques and two awards without losing out on any nominations due him prior to his album launch, which is an impressive start and indicates an immense support from fans. So far D’Banj, Shirley Frimpong Manso and Dr Cryme are the only Africans awarded.

The entertainment industry is about to heat up as the now popular, GH-One Entertainment Television, prepares to crown the screening of exciting programming with the introduction of a new urban music festival.

The festival dubbed GH-One Hip Hop Awards Festival, according to organizers, will be a celebration of the growing Hip hop culture in Ghanaian music.

The Awards Festival was born out of the desire to appropriately recognize and appreciate the growing Hip hop culture and its numerous players in the Ghanaian music industry. Hip hop in Ghana, much like in other parts of the worlds, has become the dominant force that drives the music industry.

The Gh-One Hip Hop Awards festival would be the first ever exclusive Hip Hop festival that is powered by the introduction of the much anticipated entertainment Television station – GH-one. The Festival is expected to bring together all the various elements of Hip Hop in Ghana under one roof, to celebrate the popular music and culture.

The Music Festival is planned to take off in the last quarter on GH-One Entertainment TV and will culminate in two days of festivities designed to celebrate Ghana’s Hip hop industry as well as Ghanaian born Hip hop artistes who are breaking into international music circles with their brand of music.

It will bring Ghanaian artistes and their African counterparts together through the many Hip hop artistes across the continent who will be invited to join the festival. Music festivals are known to boost the competitive spirit of players which invariably leads to a growth in the industry and the Gh-One Hiphop Festival will certainly inject enough excitement into the music industry in Ghana.

This Festival promises to attract a lot of media attention as it is tied in to the grand introduction of Gh-One Entertainment TV which has been test transmitting for some time now. As a TV station totally dedicated to the Arts, expect a fantastic Music Festival Experience.

Although organizing the Music Festival itself rests heavily on Gh-One Entertainment Television, Charterhouse sister company to Gh-One TV and organizers of flagship events like the Ghana Music Awards Festival, have placed their seal of marksmanship on the festival scheme and this can only mean good things for the GH-One Hiphop Festival.

Whiles working as a cleaner in a new studio, this young man had no idea his life was about to take a different turn. Agyekum like many other Ghanaians found himself in the capital city in search of greener pastures, and after a series of dreadful jobs, finally decided to learn photography.

When that didn’t work out, Agyekum settled as a cleaner in a newly opened music studio and was chanced upon by the epitome of variety and discoverer of new talents in the music industry, Hammer of the last Two, as he was summoned to check out the studio’s equipment. There in the compound was a young man who sang as he swept and this caught the 'pro's' attention.

He therefore invited him into the studio for testing and although this act of kindness left the young man's world tumbling down, as he was fired from his job and eventually his residence. However the undaunted impression had already been made and voila!, the next project of the Last Two camp was born. He was then immediately relocated and put to work.

A daring fusion of the rural silky voicing style pertaining to ace high-life singers, Yamoah, Koo Nimo, Kwadwo Akwaboah and Nana Ampadu, backed by melody possessed urban hip-hop beats from hammer, Agyekum's single ‘Hohuo Asem’ translated, "The plight of the traveler" sang in Twi, is high on melancholy and encompasses his life as a sojourner together with the many unfortunate encounters of the one away from home, will definitely linger in the minds of listeners long after the song has ended. We all know Hammer likes to challenge himself with projects that other people dare not venture, example was unearthing tinny when Ga rap was very unpopular and Ayigbe Edem when Ewe rap was and is still unpopular musically.

But this, I call too much of a dare. This sounds more like Amakye Dede on hip hop beats. Asked if Agyekum had been the reason why he had sprung out of his dormant state, Hammer said "I’m easily bored especially when my mission has been accomplished. I feel Ayigbe Edem has succeeded in putting The Volta on the map but having to record another rap artiste was unlikely since I'm yet to find another landmark rapper with a different dialect. Having said that, I thought a rural-urban merger to once again break the paradigm was a dare worth shaking myself out of hibernation for.

Especially as Agyekum is a singer. “Radio has been quite interesting this year of our Lord 2011 but I fear without enough creative breakthroughs, Djs might unconsciously cause a one line trend”, he said.

Indeed, the enthusiasm with which one of Ghana's best rappers in the industry 'Sarkodie,' hammer's own former student got on board to work together with Hammer on his quest to unearth his new find was very encouraging.

The song begins with background Timpani kettle drums followed by hammer’s signature brass lead, and finally arrives in a beautiful array of heavy drums, groovy snares, string bass and piano works. And surprisingly still manages to achieve the solemn melancholic awareness of the concept, Agyekum’s entrance was definitely unexpected but synchronized so well it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Chorus sounds more like a sobbing individual in distress which then leads to sarkodie’s part which focuses on Agyekum’s plight and journey to Accra. Delivered in a classy sixteen bar focusing straight to the point.

This single is nothing like what is being aired on radio, yet hammer believes it will still get the attention it deserves. We all know hammer to be associated with rappers more than singers but I recently found out that singers are not new to him, as apparently it was through hammer that Ghanaians heard Kk fosu and Kwabena Kwabena for the first time. Hammer went on to dismiss my critical opinion about Agyekum’s single not being danceable.

“If we only made music to our advantage financially, it wouldn’t be fair to the good people of Ghana because following trends is weak art and shouldn’t be encouraged. It deprives us of variety and suppresses creative minds who fear to make a loss so they stick to whats en vogue. I don’t have that problem, he said.

"I dare to be different and i choose intimate audience over mass appeal any day because before I unleash an act, I first have to buy into their objective and urban migration seems to be an ongoing war with governments in Africa so u see, this is not a joke", Hammer said.

Agyekum is the reflection of countless Ghanaians who leave home in search of greener pastures, both in the capital and abroad, and to tell this story is no dancing matter, I expect local radio to have slots to accommodate this kind of music as the west radio stations do the countless genres abroad”. He said, almost losing his cool.

From on point lyrics to spot on beats, it is clear that Agyekum is here to stay. Brace yourself, GH!

Nigerian singer, Dbanj has denied rumours in Ghana that his buzzing new single, ‘Oliver Twist’ was banned by the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) because he may have referred to the backside of Nollywood star actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.

Responding to a question by a journalist in Accra, during a press interaction for the Vodafone 020 Live Concert, DBanj stated that there was no such reference to Omotola in his song and that he didn’t see anything too special about Omotola’s bum anyway. He joked, “wey tin dey for Omotala yansh we e no dey on the streets of Accra?”

Dbanj further explained that ‘Oliver Twist’ was never banned and that the news came about as a result of the machinations of social media. He said he hadn’t gotten the chance to react to it because he was busy travelling and doing promotions abroad, and also the controversy was good publicity for the song.

“I never really said anything because it was just helping the whole song. The song has not been banned. ‘Oliver Twist’ is a simple song that means what I believe everyone of us -- whether man, woman or animal -- stands for, what we are, and what I have seen. I don’t know where the propaganda started from but it has been chaotic on social media recently and people have been spreading rumours or people dying and things happening.

I was in London heading to Miami and I saw the news. So I called my management and they called the NBC and they said they aren’t aware of it being banned. My people say they have been hearing it everywhere, radio stations are still playing.”

[postlink] https://xclusiveght.blogspot.com/2011/09/van-vicker-moves-into-music.html[/postlink]
Actor cum producer Van Vicker will in no time prove to Ghanaian musicians that he is capable of singing as he is currently working towards releasing a 12-track album.

Even though Van had reportedly denied reports that he was recording with Stay Jay of ‘Shashiwowo’ fame, NEWS-ONE can say that the fine actor is currently in the studios.

According to a NEWS-ONE source, he was recording with Lynx Entertainment and had so far recorded a number of songs. “The album will be a collection of different genres of music including Pop, Afro pop and Hip Life. He is not sure how he will call the album yet. But all will depend on the final product,” the source said.

The music is being recorded at a time when there are a lot of media reports about him, especially on his alleged brawl with actress Tonto Dike.

It is most likely his lyrical content will highlight some of his experiences with the media and also clarify issues on how he wants it to be.

Some entertainment observers said it would be suicidal if he took on the media through his songs. Meanwhile his decision to sing follows a trend in Nigeria where almost every actor wants to sing.

Omotola Jalade, Genevieve Nnaji, Patience Ozokwor, Jim Iyke, Nkem Owoh, Stella Damasus and a number of others have albums to their credit. In Ghana, Agya Koo, Mr. Beautiful and Mercy Asiedu are known for their singing prowess.

Van just wrapped up the shoot of his latest movie. He told Citi FM he would change the working title,’ Distance’.

He also said his eight-year-old daughter also shocked him in the movie with the way she handled a crying scene, noting she made him realize that she would become a chip of the old block. His son is however not gifted with acting so he wants him to play football.

The new movie features some of the crème de la crème of Ghana’s movie industry like Kofi Adjorlolo and Van himself who is also the producer and director. The movie is the third from the stables of his Orange Productions, after ‘Friday Night’ and ‘Raj’.

Mobile Telecommunication Giant, Vodafone, left a sour taste in the mouth of some journalists when it openly discriminated against Ghanaian artistes billed to perform at the 020 Live Concert alongside International acts Trey Songz and “Kokomaster” D’banj from Nigeria.

Vodafone deliberately treated Ghanaian local stars as though they were nobody and worshiped the foreign artistes like thin gods.

At the pre-event launch on Tuesday September 20, 2011, at the Golden Tulip Hotel ahead of tonight’s big show, Vodafone officials clearly exhibited their disregard for Ghanaian musicians. The sitting arrangement at Golden Tulip’s Upper Terrace said it all, with the three foreign stars -Trey Songz, Dbanj, Amber Rose- and a Vodafone official fully decorated and branded with Vodafone colours. The four sat on confortable red seats, with a 020 backdrop limited to just the four of them and a red carpet just for the four of them.

The Ghanaian hip-life stars; VIP and 5Five, sat on ordinary seats, bare background (no Vodafone branding or decoration whatsoever) and no carpet for them.

When Peacefmonline.com’s Entertainment Reporter, Eugene Osafo-Nkansah asked for some explanation (If was any), as to why the organizers decided to make such an “arrangement” during the Q and A section, Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Uche Ofodile, (who was one of the four enjoying the red carpet treatment), curtly dismissed the question.

“I don’t understand your question… I don’t know, I don’t really understand what you are talking about,” she said.

Eddy Blay, who was the MC at the press conference, asked Ms. Uche if Eugene can be allowed to re-phrase the question, but a clearly riled Uche Ofodile insisted that they should “forget about Eugene and move on”.

The harsh sun burning Ghanaian artistes (VIP and 5Five) with their bare background making it difficult for journalists to get clear pictures
The press conference which was the only platform for the media to have access to the artistes billed to perform at the 020 Live concert, lasted for less than 30 minutes and the organisers permitted the asking of only five questions from the over 20 media houses invited to the function.

Furthermore, the MC stated emphatically that nobody was to be allowed the opportunity of a one-on-one interview with the artistes. Vodafone has also banned any media person from videoing the event or taking pictures as stated in a media brief circulated by the organizers.

Meanwhile, other Ghanaian artistes including D-Cryme, Stay Jay, R2Bees and Vodafone Icon winners RnM expected to perform tonight (Tuesday), were absent at the press conference.

After the press conference, the same media practitioners who publicized the event were seen virtually struggling for media accreditation to cover the program.

A similar incident happened during last year’s maiden edition of the event, when fastest rapper Sarkodie complained about how organizers pay Ghanaian artistes peanuts but pull every financial string to bring down foreign-based artistes to perform on the show.

Sarkodie even described the money Vodafone paid to him as “coins”.

Well, having recently taken over the sponsorship of major musical events in Ghana such as the 4Syte Music Video Awards, Ghana Music Awards among other major events and entertainment programs on Television and Radio, it is only prudent on the part of Vodafone to respect the country’s stars and the media who also play a significant role in the same entertainment industry they are trying to support.

[postlink] https://xclusiveght.blogspot.com/2011/09/armed-robbers-attack-obour.html[/postlink]
Newly elected President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Obour Osei Kufour, has already attracted the attention of armed robbers after being in office for barely a month.

Peacefmonline.com has gathered that the “Konkontiba” hit maker’s new Jaguar saloon car was vandalized by daring fully armed robbers, after having information that Obour has received an amount $100,000 given to MUSIGA by Dr. Kofi Amoah as seed money, to restructure the union.

Spokesperson for MUSIGA, Okyeame Kwame, confirmed the incident on Peace FM’s “Entertainment Review”. According to Okyeame Kwame, the armed robbers thought the $100,000 was in Obour’s car so they broke into the car but fortunately or unfortunately, they were disappointed because the money was not in the car. Though Obour was not in the car during the operation, his car was badly damaged.

The incident took place at the Labone Coffee Shop in Accra, on Wednesday September 14, 2011; the same day, Dr. Kofi Amoah officially presented the cheque of $100,000 to the MUSIGA executives at Citizen Kofi in Osu. “They broke into Obour’s car immediately we left Citizen Kofi, but by the grace of God Obour, our new MUSIGA President was driving brand new Jaguar, so immediately they hit the glass the alarm sounded very loud, and they run away and people rushed to the scene. If it was not the alarm, they would have succeeded in their operation”, Kwame narrated.

Okyeame Kwame confirmed that Obour and his executives have received the money from Dr. Kofi Amoah, adding that Dr. Amoah advised them not to think that they know all the solutions to the problems of MUSIGA. “He advised that we should use some of the money for research about music and musicians in Ghana and all over the world, to be able to know how things are done in other countries where music is well developed, and how we can inculcate their system into Ghana to make Ghanaian musicians rich, and give our music more value”, Kwame explained.

In another development, MUSIGA President Obour led an entourage of MUSIGA executives and musicians to visit imprisoned popular music producer and artiste manager, Isaac Abaidoo, popularly known as Goodies at the Nsawam Maximum Prison.

Okyeame Kwame revealed that immediately Obour won the election in Tamale, he (Obour) said one of the first things dear to his heart was to visit Goodies in Prison, so he only fulfilled his heart’s desire, and his vision to support prisoners all over the country. Goodies who seemed surprised on seeing Obour and several musicians, expressed his excitement at the honour done him by the visit of the MUSIGA leadership, and thanked them for the visit.

Okyeame Kwame noted that MUSIGA intends to collaborate with the Prisons service to organize entertainment for the prisoners in a form of soccer matches between musicians and prisoners, in addition to other musical events. This is part of efforts by MUSIGA to help reorient the prisoners and also encourage them to be positive about their lives whilst in prison.

According to Okyeame, the visit was also to change the perception about prisoners and also encourage families of prisoners to support them while in prison, and to welcome them wholeheartedly when they are released.

Goodies had been very supportive in the strengthening of MUSIGA in the past. He single handedly saw to the establishment a Hiplife office within the MUSIGA office to specifically see to the welfare and issues concerning Hiplife musicians. Goodies is presently serving a thirteen year-jail term for narcotics offences.

Nigerian international music star, Dbanj has made a passionate plea to have Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari available for the Vodafone 020 Live concert slated for The Dome on Tuesday, September 20 so that he could perform his latest single, ‘Oliver Twist’ to the fullest.

The song which has Dbanj singing about liking some female celebrities including Nadia for various reasons has become a smash hit especially on the internet.

The singer in an interaction with a select group of Ghanaian journalist explained that the success of Oliver Twist has been amazing single the song was released over a month ago. He said the Oliver Twist competition launched on YouTube to find the most entertaining fan, which will also feature in the official music video for the single, has triggered entries from all over the world including an entry from a white family in Scotland.

“So many entries blew m mind. We are seeing a whole white family from Scotland dancing to the song and I felt so humbled. There is one beautiful girl with just one leg and she danced better than people with two legs. That has only opened me to think that we did the right thing and we will continue to do that.”

Dbanj also explained that he couldn’t make it to the Vodafone 020 Live concert last year in spite of being advertised on the bill, due to reason beyond his control. He however was emphatic that it had nothing to do with his contract with Nigerian Telecoms giant, Glo.

He added that fans in Ghana should expect an exciting performance like never before since this would be his first major performance with his band in the country.

Dbanj
“This is the first ever concert that I will perform; I have been on stage in Ghana more than three times but only on awards. I have never performed to my fans, only selected people make it to the GMAs every year and I often perform for about 10 minutes. This is the first concert I am performing, standing on stage, bringing my band and bringing everyone to come onboard for me. So I would say its Dbanj 1 on 1 so get ready ‘toh bad!’”

Dbanj will perform alongside US R&B Star Trey Songz, VIP, 5five, R2bees, Stay Jay, RnM, and Dr Cryme at the Vodafone 020 Live at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre.

[postlink] https://xclusiveght.blogspot.com/2011/09/girlfriend-loves-sex.html[/postlink]
Hip Life artiste Isaac Okai, popularly known as Yaw Siki, has come out with the meaning of his song ‘Wope Dodo’. Siki, whose song is currently a hit on the airwaves, told NEWS-ONE that his song was based on a personal experience.

According to him, the song was inspired by his girlfriend who always demanded more sex anytime they made love, hence the title ‘Wope Dodo.’

“The girl in question was never satisfied when we had sex and kept demanding sex even when I am tired. Here, I want to advise young girls who demand sex from their partners all the time to desist from it since they risk becoming ugly or end up killing their men,” he said.

Siki revealed that the talent to sing had always been part of him but he didn’t have anybody to help him nurture it.

“I am new on the scene but I want to assure Ghanaians the best of me because it’s been long time coming,” he said.

Asked why it took him so long to come out with the song, Siki explained that he did a lot of underground work, the reason his single, ‘Wope Dodo’ made an impact.

A graduate from Trans-African college, Siki prefers to sing than to practise journalism.

Asked if he could survive the test of time considering the crop of musicians on the market, Siki said he believed he had done his homework well and was ready to give his best.

He believed he had been accepted by Ghanaians because of the response he received on a daily basis.

“I get not more than ten calls a day about people telling me how good the song is and other musicians asking me to feature on their song”.

Yaw was inspired by Eminem, Reggie Rockstone, Dr. Dre, Obrafour and Snoop Dogg.

He started battling on the popular Ghanaian ‘Kasahare’ (rap) show hosted by Dr. Duncan on Adom FM after completing Tema Methodist High School and graduating in 2004.

After that, he started releasing several mixtapes from 2006 to 2010 which included songs like ‘Dreams’, ‘Osei me’ and ‘Tantana’, produced by Kill Beatz.

He however came into the limelight when he featured on R2Bees ‘Azonto’ and Sarkodie’s ‘Ye Balli’.

‘Wope Dodo’ and other songs like ‘Mi Lobi’ and ‘Look Sharp’ will be on Siki’s ‘High Technique’ album which will be out in December, 2011.

He has performed on shows like Y FM Rollkoll and Cape Coast Festival and is currently signed on to Street Dreams Entertainment.

A star on the right hand - TWINKLE
Closer shot- means Happiness
Our culture and system has its own rigidities and flaws but that doesn't alter the course of change and revolution. Eazzy is arguably Ghana's hottest female sensation and not much can be said about that. With YFM's "LOUD IN GH" a week away and her "ONE GAL" of the "Twinkle" album receiving massive airplay nationwide (Listen to ONE GAL: :http://mp3twit.com/6eb), there couldn't have been a better time to expose that which has been hidden all this while. The tattoo culture is not really encouraged here in Ghana even amongst celebrities unlike other countries but the "WENGEZE" song maker definitely has plans of her own. In this piece XclusiveGh.tk takes you extensively through the sexy Diva's tattoos and brings you their significance and exposes even the hidden ones. Ghanaian pop singer Jon Germain has released a brand new single as a prelude to his sophomore album “ENIGMA”. The song which would not make the track listing of the upcoming album is currently attracting lots of attention and making huge waves across the continent.

In Jon’s own words “Like every huge music star, Whitney Houston' biggest hit “I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU” was a Dolly Parton song, Diddy’s biggest selling single “MISSING YOU, is a “STING AND THE POLICE” song, Rod Stewart’s biggest hit is by Cat Stevens, Micheal Jackson's big solo hit “Ain't no sunshine” was originally by Bill Waters, So is Jay Z and Mr Hudson’s Forever Young by German band ALPHAVILLE”.

He continues “I have always wanted to re record a hit rock song. So this is it “HERE WITHOUT YOU” is originally written and performed by Grammy award winning American Rock band 3 DOORS DOWN, written by lead singer Brad Arnold.”
Huge compliments should flood the camp of the song maker for his ability to take such a huge classical song and adapt it so well, you wonder if it’s the original.

The song has changes in instrumentation and an introduction of rap by X.O which the original lacks.

The song was recorded and produced by UBEATZ Studio, Ephraim studio and XO's studio. As fans anticipate the release of the second album ENiGMA, which is a follow up of the Hit pop/ rock Album “THIS IS WHO I AM”, this single is just the right move.

A Dynamic new act on the music scene Joejo Abodweseh, is out with his maiden album titled Judgement Day on the War Front Entertainment label.

All songs on the nine-tracks album were composed by Joejo Abodweseh with the title track being a biblically-oriented rap piece which seeks to create the awareness of Christs second coming.

The album is a fine blend of danceable contemporary styles including francophone, highlife, crunk and reggae rhythms on tracks such as Ngozi mama, Patapaa, maa Efia, Esumomi, Make the Dough, Di Asa and Dreams.

The songs are in Twi, Ga and English. ``I admire Ghanaian musicians like Reggie Rockstone and Obrafour. they really inspire me a lot,`` Joejo said in a chat with Peace FM online. I also enjoy highlife and Paapa Yankson is one of my favorite performers of that style,``he added.
Apart from Judgement Day on which Joejo sounds like an Evangelist bringing the messsage of the last days to the masses, he again demonstrates his Godly inclinations on Dreams which he says is dedicated to street children and the needy across the country:

Jehovah is alive he knows all your tribulations, He feels your pains So cry no more He is going to make your dreams a reality. Other artistes who featured on the Judgement Day album were Nicky B, Ogee, Paa Dogo, D Flex, Rita, Santic, Nafan, Scrilla and Oboi David.

Joejo who sometime ago worked with Hammer of the Last Two fame, has arrived with a bold attitude, daring everyone to sit up and listen to him .This collection indicates that he is worth listening to.

African Dancehall star Emmanuel Andrew Samini says he’ll go into commercial production of Pito for export.

According Samini this desire stems from his deep love for the drink which is his favorite beverage.

The multiple award winning artiste told Hitz FM he always travels with his calabash and pito wherever he goes in the world. He attributes his inspiration for writing his chartbusting songs to the potency of the pito drink which he takes for recreational purposes.

His slew of hits include Tempo, Movement, Linda and Where my baby. Others include My Kinda Girl, African Lady and Trigger.

Another reason is that his mum deals with the drink which is of Northern Origin. His mum is a legendary pito producer whose joint in Dansoman is the toast of pito lovers, some of who travel from various parts of Accra to patronize the drink. Some folks believe Samini’s star status has boosted the mum’s piio business.

Samini therefore intends to invest in his mum’s business and ensure that the beverage is distributed worldwide. In his view, apart from the benefits to his family, producing the beverage for export will also promote Ghana in addition to the revenue potentials for the nation.

The 30 year old signer has other interests spanning agriculture and merchandising for which he has an outlet in Dansoman that distributes music and reggae paraphernalia.

Pito is made from fermented millet and it has a low alcohol content. The drink is widely drunk in northern Ghana and parts of Nigeria. It is however not clear when Samini intends to begin the commercial scale production of the drink.
